This process is simple and just requires a bit of time and patience for the orchid to take root.

- Select and Prepare the Branch
- Choose a branch of the orchid that is devoid of flowers or buds. Cut this branch from the plant and trim the ends until you see the bright green interior. This green part will be the starting point for your new orchid plant.
- Peel a garlic clove and use it to rub the ends of the branch thoroughly. This step helps to ward off mold or fungi and prevents the branch from rotting.
- Seal the Branch Ends
- Light a candle and let the wax start to drip. Use this wax to seal the ends of the branch. Though it may seem like this will inhibit the plant’s growth, it actually helps prevent water loss from the branch.
