Receiving flowers on special occasions is a delightful experience, but the downside is that they often don’t last long and fade quickly. Fortunately, there’s a brilliant tip to revive your roses and enjoy them for an extended period. To achieve this, you’ll need the following items:

  • Pink rose
  • Potato
  • Drill bit
  • Jar
  • Potting soil
  • Plastic bottle

Here’s a step-by-step guide:

  1. Select the Rose Bush: Choose the rose bush you want to plant in the pot. Begin by removing all the leaves and trimming the rose bush about three centimeters below the flower. Cut the stem crosswise at a 45-degree angle.
  2. Prepare the Potato: Create a hole in the potato just big enough for the rose stem to fit without wobbling.
  3. Set up the Pot: Cover the bottom of the pot with approximately five centimeters of soil, and place the potato and rose on top.
  4. Fill the Pot: Fill the pot with potting soil, and most of the work is complete.
  5. Create a Greenhouse: For your rose bush, you’ll need a small greenhouse. Any plastic bottle will suffice. Cut off the bottom of the bottle and gently place it over the rose branch. When watering the rose, avoid pouring water into the bottle; instead, water the soil around the bottle.
  6. Cross Your Fingers: Now, all that’s left is to hope for the best. The first shoots will emerge quickly.

You can experiment with various rose varieties using this technique. Don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t work the first time – cultivating a green thumb takes time. Showcase your flourishing roses to friends and family, and not only will you impress them, but your plants will also express gratitude by blooming again in all their splendor.
